Suggest a paper to be RECASTed

How it works

  1. You submit a paper and its replication data using the form below
  2. We review whether the paper has a clear identification strategy and public replication data
  3. We RECAST it — replicate, extend with DoubleML or Causal Forest, and run AI peer review
  4. Results appear on the Tracker page and, if successful, on the Papers page

What makes a good candidate?

  • A published empirical paper with a clear causal identification strategy (OLS, IV, DID, RDD)
  • Publicly available replication data (Stata .dta, CSV, or similar)
  • A well-defined treatment variable and outcome
  • Ideally N > 100 for Causal Forest, any N for DoubleML

What we need from you

  • A link to the paper (DOI, journal page, or PDF)
  • A link to the replication data (Dataverse, journal supplement, GitHub, etc.)
  • A brief note on the identification strategy
